Chief medical officer stationed at Icarus Base, who supervised Tamara Johansen there as a medic. Dr. Simms was fatally injured when a surprise attack by the Lucian Alliance caught the military and civilians stationed there off guard and left the secret facility destroyed.
His death prevented him from escaping to the Destiny, leaving the crew there with no full-trained medical doctor.
